Christiana Oduh is the embodiment of the American Dream. Born in Africa, Christiana immigrated to the United States at the age of ten to help her Aunt take care of her children. Christiana began her career as an Avon Representative when she was in school to earn extra money. When she realized how profitable it was, she knew her dream of owning her own business was coming true.

Christiana had planned on attending law school, but her first daughter Kate was born three months early and needed extra care. Christiana had to change her plans and stayed with Avon. She has continued to grow her business over the years and is now one of Avon’s most successful Representatives.

Christiana believes in giving back to the community and volunteers her time at a local high school where she speaks to teenage girls teaching them how to empower themselves. She and her husband are also working to raise money to build a school in Nigeria. They have $25,000 left to collect until they can make their dream into a reality.

Christina has two daughters, Kate and Felicia.

Sylvia Tamayo

Fourteen years ago Sylvia, along with her husband and two young daughters, moved to Texas from Mexico in search of a better life. Sylvia soon met an Avon District Sales Manager and Avon Representative in the neighborhood who were recruiting. Sylvia signed up on the spot to become an Avon Representative.

Before that day Sylvia was not sure how she would be able to earn money for her family. She thinks that it was a blessing that she found Avon so she could start a career that changed her life.

Sylvia’s earnings enabled her to buy her dream home, new cars and in 2003, Sylvia used her Avon earning to build a brand new office for her Avon business. Sylvia is at the office everyday meeting with members of her team, training her Representatives, tracking her team on her computer and helping her Representatives every step of the way.

Sylvia has three children: daughters Silvia and Gabriela and a son, Rey Angel.

Pam Heller

After marrying her husband and becoming a military wife, attending business school and having a daughter, Pam met a neighbor who had been selling Avon for several years. She decided to give it a try. She quit her full time job, began working part time as a secretary and signed up with Avon. Her intention was just to pay off the bills she had. Within six months, Pam was selling Avon full time and she had found a business that she truly enjoyed. Not only could she be a stay at home mom, but she could have an income and a flexible career while doing something that she loved.

Growing up, Pam’s daughter Jessica saw the success her mother had with Avon and it inspired her to start an Avon business of her own. While going to college, Jessica began her Avon business and continued it through her four years of school. After graduation, while her friends were looking for jobs, Jessica knew that she already had a profitable career and stuck with Avon. She is now one of the youngest Representatives in Avon’s Leadership program.

Daryn DeZengotita

Like many Avon Representatives, Daryn DeZengotita, got involved with Avon because she loved the products. However, she is not your "Avon Lady" of the past. Daryn, who comes from a public relations and technology background, is an e-Representative, who uses the internet for placing orders and managing her business. Daryn uses her knowledge of computers and public relations and applies it to her Avon business. She uses social networking to prospect for customers. As a mother of 2 boys, the flexibility of her Avon business has allowed her and her partner to make their children a priority.

As an Executive Unit Leader, Daryn mentors 100 people who are in her downline. "Leadership is the business part of Avon. If you want to make it a career, the growth potential in leadership is limitless. I especially enjoy leadership because I love to help women realize their dreams. All it takes it persistence. Don’t Give Up!"

Avon has given Daryn, who is the mother of two boys, the flexibility to make her children a priority.

Denise Isaza-Tobon

When Denise Isaza-Tobon became an Avon Representative in 2004, she was also working as a freelance makeup artist and a Substance Abuse Counselor. But when she decided to start a family, Denise knew she couldn’t keep up with her on-the-go lifestyle, so she decided to make her Avon business a full-time career.

Because of her love of cosmetics’, Denise was really intrigued by the Beauty Advisor program. In just seven months, she became the first Hispanic/bi-lingual Certified Beauty Advisor Trainer in Florida.

Unfortunately, Denise had a very difficult pregnancy, which left her using a walker for 2 months. But in this time, her Avon support system was there for her and gave her space when she needed it. Now she is back with Avon full force and has a renewed energy.

Donna Reid Mitchell

Donna joined Avon in 2003, selling part time while working as a hairstylist. Initially, her goal was to earn an extra $100 per month. However, when her personal situation changed, she was determined to support her family while staying at home with her children, so she decided to make Avon her full time career.

With her two children in tow, Donna began selling Avon products and recruiting and training other Representatives. In less than two years, she built a lucrative business, and today, after six years with Avon, she sits atop an empire of over 2,100 Avon Representatives responsible for over $4 million in annual sales.

Donna is also devoted to community service. She works with cancer patients in the US and in Jamaica, giving them makeovers and advice on repairing and camouflaging damage from chemotherapy.

Dawn Perrino

Dawn Perrino began selling Avon in 1997; shortly after learning she was pregnant with her second child. As a former model, Dawn grew accustomed to life on the go. She flew from city to city, never knowing what her next stop would be. However, when she had children her priorities changed drastically.

With a nine month old baby and another on the way, Dawn knew she needed to find a job that would allow her to be at home with her children. Avon gave her the opportunity to run her own business on her own schedule. Now, with her Avon earnings, Dawn is able to pay for private school for her two children and have some extra money on the side for leisure.

With her children now older, Dawn is able to work outside of the home as a realtor in addition to Avon.
